Horsepower and Torque Gains from a simple intake kit from Airaid (200-219). Comparison below of an 08 GM Duramax, stock vs. Airaid intake kit. Horsepower gains from 1500 RPM's to 3000 RPM's. With a gain of 17 RWHP at 2000 RPM's too 2500 RPM's. Torque gains of 20 Ft/lbs at the rear wheels. Torque gains across the complete RPM range average gains of 9 ft/lbs. Increases in diesel fuel mileage will be noticed due to less fuel being used to get the truck rolling and to maintain speeds. More power at lower rpms using less fuel. Gains of 1-3 MPG depending on driving style and weight of truck.
