Truck Air Intake

Truck Air Intake systems provide increased horsepower, torque and improved fuel mileage. Note the Dyno sheet below from AFE on there Truck Air Intake Kit for the 09-10 Ford F150. This F150 intake gained approximately 12 HP @ 5200 RPM'S which is great but what makes the truck run much better than adding 12 HP is a gain of 6-10 HP throughout the entire RPM range from 1100 RPM's all the way too 5200. The same thing goes for the torque with a peak of 15 FT/Lbs of TQ and an average increase throughout the entire engine RPM range of 10-15 FT/Lbs of TQ. The increase in torque is evidence that the cylinders are filling up faster with air creating more cylinder pressure thus increasing the amount of torque and speed at which the engine runs thought the RPM range which is where higher horsepower comes in.
